National Careers Week: How CREST can bolster CVs, UCAS & applications

National Careers Week is the perfect time for teachers to inform young people on how they can showcase their CREST project work when applying for opportunities.

Students can ‘stand out’ with CREST when they’re applying for university, an apprenticeship or a job as CREST awards are well-regarded and can be recognised as a mark of success.

“Admissions tutors and potential employers will want to know what you’ve done, and more importantly what you learnt from it (not just about the subject but also skills). This helps them understand the way you think, so tell them about your CREST project and how you think you have grown from the experience.”

CREST Awards
CREST is the British Science Association’s scheme for STEM project work that inspires young people to think and behave like scientists and engineers.

As North West Regional CREST Support OrganisationAll About STEM promote CREST Awards across the region and point schools & clubs to the support they need to run this amazing scheme. CREST Awards encourage students to work like scientists, researchers, engineers and designers to investigate and explore their own project ideas.
