DATE EXTENDED! Primary & Secondary Competition: Win a STEM-sational session at Manchester Airport!
Manchester Airport Group are dedicated to promoting STEM. Along with their Secondary Dragon’s Den, Primary Apprentice Competition and workshops, they also offer a range of FREE STEM resources.
This year they are expanding their STEM outreach even more and would like to offer one lucky Primary or Year 7/8 group the chance to visit Manchester Airport! Your group could experience their Maths & Science workshops and try your hand at working with airport technology. You could role-play check in, find out how X-rays work, design your own airline or hop in the airport’s new Science Pod… discover the ‘Science of Flight’ and so much more!
How to enter: Manchester Airport Group would love to see how you can bring flight into your STEM class. Entering is simple, incorporate an airport or aeroplane theme into any Science, Technology, Engineering or Maths session and take a snap! Head to Twitter, tweet your photo tagging @AllAboutSTEM & @MAComRels and tell us about it. We can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Group size: 1 x Primary or Year7/8 group (Maximum of 30 children)
Schools must ensure that parental permission is granted for all children featured on competition images entered online. Images will be shared by Manchester Airport & All About STEM publicly as part of the competition and used in online promotion when a winner is chosen.
Competition open to students from Year 1 – 8.
Competition prize includes airport landside tour, workshops and experiences.
Winner can discuss and confirm age-related activities and dates prior to visit with Manchester Airport Group.
Transport is not provided, however lunch will be included.
