STEM Spotlight: St Michael-in-the-Hamlet Community Primary School – Scientists, STEM Ambassadors & Skeletons!
Children at St Michael-in-the-Hamlet Community Primary School Liverpool, enjoyed a STEM-sational skeleton session with a real life scientist!
Dr Carlo Meloro works as a Vertebrate Palaeontologist at Liverpool John Moores University and is a dedicated STEM Ambassador. He brought along a selection of skeletons for students to examine as part of their Year One ‘Paws, Jaws and Claws’ topic.
“Carlo showed them skeletons and explained lots of similarities and differences. It was a fantastic, informative session and everyone learnt lots and really enjoyed this hands-on science!”
St Michael-in-the-Hamlet Community Primary School utilise the STEM Ambassador Programme regularly to enrich their students learning. They have an ‘eggcellent’ Easter Egg-Drop coming up too and All About STEM will be there to cheer on the children, staff and STEM Ambassadors taking part.
