Apply: The Salters’ Institute Festivals of Chemistry (ages 11-14)
Applications are now open for the Salters’ Institute Festivals of Chemistry!
The Festivals of Chemistry are a series of popular and inspiring one day Chemistry events held at universities and colleges across the UK and Ireland.
Two programmes are run annually:
Ages 11-13
These Festivals are designed to inspire budding young scientists. Teams of four students from each school work together to complete two practical challenges with prizes awarded to the winning teams! In the afternoon there is a fun lecture followed by a prize-giving with fun prizes and certificates for all.
Ages 13-14
This Festival programme aims to motivate students into developing a long term interest in Chemistry and its applications in modern life. Students work in groups with a dedicated university student on an extended practical investigation in a university lab.
Festivals run between March and July 2020.

Apply now to avoid disappointment. Places are not offered on a first come, first served basis but do apply before priority entry closes on the 31 January for the best chance of attending your Festival of choice.
