Unilever Bright Future Awards 24/25!

We are overjoyed to announce that our Unilever Bright Future Award winner is…

Bellerive FCJ Catholic College!

Congratulations to Bellerive on a fantastic, planet-friendly project and a huge well done to King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes (2nd), Weatherhead High School (3rd) and all of our sensational special award winners and entrants!

In November 2024, All About Futures (All About STEM) invited schools to take part in the Unilever Bright Future Programme hosted by Unilever Port Sunlight. Schools from across the region took part in activities that introduced them to processing, packaging, the environment and more. Following this, students had the opportunity to design their own environmentally friendly/sustainable product over a three-month period and then present their ideas to Unilever experts at our Awards and Celebration Day.

Meet our Unilever Bright Future Winners and take a look at their innovative concepts:

Unilever Bright Future 2024/25 Award Winners

Winner – 1st Place & Access & Inclusion Award: Bellerive FCJ Catholic College
Product: HyperHandz

Have you ever noticed award winners wiping their hands with nerves before they accept their accolade? Do you lose your grip on your pen during an exam or slip around in your sliders when you’re on holiday? Bellerive FCJ designed Hyperhandz to solve problems just like this. “It’s a unique hand/foot balm designed to tackle hyperhidrosis and support young people to become more confident and get on with their day!”

The team used natural ingredients including rice bran wax to provide anti-bacterial properties, caprylic triglyceride (coconut oil) for antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties and soothing shea butter and vanilla extract for comfort, scent and as a stress reducer.

Not only did Bellerive prototype their product design, but they formulated it and created it in preparation for their project presentation – amazing work!

2nd Place: King’s Leadership Academy Hawthornes

The team hope to conquer hair loss with Samurai Shampoo because “every warrior deserves hair as bold as their spirit”. Strong hair. Sharp look. Zero waste.
