Volunteering dropping? STEM Ambassador programme flourishing!

A recent blog post by Dr Ajay Sharman: Volunteering: is it a dying breed?, addresses the changing landscape of the voluntary sector in the UK.

Whilst raising the question of whether the UK is falling out of love with volunteering, the article also discusses why the STEM Ambassador programme is still flourishing while other volunteering schemes are not growing in a similar manner.

‘The STEM Ambassador programme has shown the reverse trend since 2010… STEM Ambassadors have increased from almost 19,000 approved STEM Ambassadors to over 30,000 approved STEM Ambassadors by 2016.  This is certainly not stagnation in our employer supported volunteering!’

Take a look. It’s certainly an interesting read!
