Big Bang North West: Join in with Operating Theatre LIVE!
We are overjoyed to announce that Operating Theatre LIVE will be performing multiple procedures at The Big Bang North West 2017. Always wanted to be a surgeon?
You can join in!
At The Big Bang North West, students and teachers can pull on their gloves and walk through the worlds only portable operating theatre – See and touch real brains, lungs, digestive system, leg and heart and witness a real pair of lungs inhaling and exhaling.
Operating Theatre LIVE work with schools and colleges across the UK to deliver live anatomy dissection workshops for students aged 11-19. Each of their GCSE/AS/A2/BTEC exam specification matched programmes is set in a real operating theatre and students get to grips with real anatomy!
Operating Theatre LIVE can transform your school hall into the worlds only portable operating theatre, allowing students to get hands on with real anatomy in a clinical setting.
The students take part in the dissection of a real head and brain, a real thoracic cavity including the heart, lungs trachea and diaphragm along with a real stomach, liver, gall bladder, intestines and more. There’s also the opportunity to explore the intricate workings of the limbs by performing an amputation of a real leg!
“At The Big Bang North West, the Operating Theatre LIVE team guarantee you a breath taking, unforgettable trip through the human body like never before. Each student will leave stretched and challenged having made measurable progress against the GCSE specification!”
We can’t wait for this!
