Illuminating Careers: Sparking Interest in British Science Week
On the 18th of January, the Merseyside and Cheshire STEM Ambassador Hub welcomed over 30 schools and Ambassadors from across the country to a ‘Preparing for British Science Week’ session.
Schools heard about the BSW topic of Growth and how they could effectively utilise Ambassadors to illustrate the topic relating to personal and career growth.
“Ambassadors joined us both live and by pre-recorded presentation to explain who they are and what they do -including their journeys to where they are today.
We heard live from Max about his job at DXC technology and how the growth of their pioneering tech is helping to transform the life of a motor neurone disease sufferer – by allowing him to turn into a virtual cyborg!”
The session also offered training to Ambassadors showing how to create effective presentations.
Following the live workshop, schools also received a follow-up resource pack containing Ambassador presentations and materials to help them during BSW 2022.
