STEM Showcase: Students can visit the Smart Factory Expo!
Fantastic news! Smart Factory Expo are offering a STEM Showcase to students age 16+ from 2pm-4.30pm on the 16th November 2017.
The expo will be opening it’s doors to the next generation of manufacturing talent, with a dedicated session for young adults considering, or already studying for, a rewarding career in manufacturing. A specially selected line-up of senior manufacturing executives will talk about how they got into manufacturing, the key drivers of success in their careers and – crucially – the advice they would give their younger selves!
STEM Showcase tickets are FREE but must be booked in advance here.

From 2pm, students are free to visit exhibitors and ask questions about the future of manufacturing. From 3-4pm there will be a schedule of speakers in the Industrial Internet Solutions Theatre to specifically address young adults about their career in manufacturing.
Currently confirmed:
• Roy Howarth, Head of Quality, Airbus UK
• Bernard Malloy, Global Logistics Director, Unipart
Award-winning apprentices will also be speaking at the event.
There will also be a ‘British Manufacturing Showcase’ in the atrium immediately outside the exhibition entrance – including a car made by students at Liverpool John Moores University, locally manufactured Range Rovers and an Airbus interior. This would be great to visit (20 mins) before entering the expo.
