Big Bang North West 2019: Shaping Futures Zone – Inspirational Colleges & Universities!
The Shaping Futures Zone at The Big Bang North West was absolutely epic and our visitors were in awe! Our Platinum Sponsor brought together countless educational partners who offered an array of amazing activities and exciting exhibits!

A variety of interactive activities provided by Shaping Futures partners showed an impressive breadth in STEM and STEM related options at both FE and HE, and equipped students with the information they need to make high quality informed choices as part of their education journey. Collaborators included Liverpool Hope University, Edge Hill University, LIPA, Liverpool John Moores University, University of Liverpool, Wirral Met, Riverside College and Cronton Sixth Form College.
Visitors to the zone tried 3D printing, built bridges, coded drones and so much more.
They learned about science & engineering, met marvellous creatures, created chemical reactions, controlled robots, welded metals in virtual reality, the list is endless! You can find activity details from all educational partners here…
Shaping Futures also sponsored the STEM Club of the Year award at The Big Bang North West as part of the Big Bang UK Young Scientists and Engineering Competition.

Shaping Futures have sponsored both The Big Bang North West & Big Bang @ School events for many years. We would like to thank them wholeheartedly for their phenomenal & ongoing support.
Shaping Futures is a collaborative outreach programme delivered across the Liverpool City Region. The project is part of the wider National Collaborative Outreach Programme (NCOP) which has been funded by HEFCE. Shaping Futures will work with young people from electoral wards where the progression to Higher Education (HE) is lower than expected.
